Much like the Republicans did during the Democratic convention in Boston, Massachusetts, Democrats have placed rapid-response teams -- which they're calling " truth squads" -- on hand to address the media all week long.
Truth Squads? Hmm, like from the Ministry of Truth?
They should at least choose a name with some enigmatic qualities. For example, call it the Tokku, or Gestapo. Give it some flavor.
But, I guess the Dems have run out of ideas.

I was going to say, that's quite a dystopian name they've given their groups there. As if they have some kind of monopoly on The Truth. Than again, name me a political party who doesn't think that.

Did you even read the first part of what you quoted?
"Turnabout's fair play."

I understand the part the Repubs also used the same technique, what I am talking about is how the Dems are calling them "truth squads". Trust me, if the Repubs called them a similar name, I would also say something.
So, this thread is not about party’s using such people, it is about calling them "truth squads".
Relax buddy. For some reason, people turn too partisan too quickly in this forum.

The Republicans also called them truth squads. But you're right, you didn't start this thread as a partisan maneuver. That's clearly why you closed the original post saying "But, I guess the Dems have run out of ideas."

I stand corrected, did not know the Repubs also use “truth squads”.
I guess, the Repubs have also run out of ideas.

I guess so. I agree with you that it's an odd choice of a name, but both parties and the government seem to enjoy using Orwellian language. My other favorite is the good old 'free speech zone.'
