The ridiculous CNN channel, which people are defecting from all of the time (just like people defected from commie USSR), has reached a new all time low, and it is clear to see which channels are really biased. The loony left can whine about FOX (FAIR & BALANCED™) all they want, but the reality is that CNN is looking like a pure propaganda channel and mouthpiece for the democrats.

It turns out that two CNN correspondants have now signed up to help the catastrophic Kerry campaign which is in deep crap, and they're still going to keep working at CNN ! I saw this on the news last night. The one guy is the vile James Carville, and I forget the other persons name. Also Christine Amanpour (another ridiculous CNN reporter) is married to Kerry's top campaign advisor.

You can imagine what would happen if a certain other channel tried to get away with the same dishonest thing.

CONCLUSION: CNN blows. (Not that CNN really matters anymore anyhow.)

James Carville is a talking head, and is on CROSSFIRE as because he's a democratic political strategist. there's no conflict of interest there because people KNOW what he does/has done for a living.

One of CNN's anchors, Daryn Kagan, hearts Rush Limbaugh. (And I thought he was married.)

CNN is utter crap, though.

James Rubin is Kerry's top campaign advisor? Are you sure? I thought it was Joe Lockhart.

Carville is not a CNN "correspondent"; he represents the "left" point of view on a show called "Crossfire" and does not pretend or profess to be objective concerning politics, nor would, I suppose, his counterparts on the show (Tucker Carlson, Bob Novak) who represent the "right" POV.

There is nothing even remotely inappropriate or dishonest about any of this.

"A" top Kerry campaign advisor, perhaps not "the" top advisor. My mistake.

Just curious. Does anybody at FOXnews (talking heads or whoever) work for the Bush campaign ? I don't believe so.

Probably not.

Fox is funny to watch in the mornings. Their commentary is witty and tongue-in-cheek and they don't mince words regarding anything -- anything is fair game with them.

And do you think that if Sean Hannity announced he was going to work for the Bush campaign anyone would care? You say "talking heads or whoever" as if to diminish the difference between the two. There is a very significant difference. Carville is professionally and ethically free to join any campaign he chooses and remain at CNN as part of a political pundit talk show; so is Hannity. If someone who delivers the news, such as Wolf Blitzer were to join a campaign, then he would be morally/ethically required to step down as an anchor.

I don't mean to pop your bubble about all...oh wait, yes I do.

The only ones who are getting their "bubbles" popped is CNN with their laughable ratings.
People vote with their remotes.

Nothing dishonest about keeping Carville on the CNN payroll even though he's Kerry's adviser?

Would you say the same if Bill O'Reilly was still paid by FOX while being a Bush adviser?

O'Reilly's whole schtick is that he's not affiliated with any particular party, candidate, ideology, etc. Not so Carville. A more appropriate comparison, as someone made earlier, is to Sean Hannity.

Nothing. Before Carville signed on to the Kerry campaign, he would say "KERRY KERRY KERRY!" After signing on he would say "KERRY KERRY KERRY!" What is the difference? Assuming you are familiar with the Crossfire show, tell me...what difference does it make? Does it make Carville appear biased that he's with the campaign? He ALREADY is BIASED! It's his JOB to be biased!

Would you say the same if Bill O'Reilly was still paid by FOX while being a Bush adviser? [/B]
O'Reilly would NEVER do that because O'Reilly pretends to be neutral. But if he did, it would make complete sense and I doubt anyone would make an issue of it, save for those who noticed he claimed to be neutral. A better example would be Hannity, since he makes no claims to be neutral.

You obviously don't like Fox, but yet you watch it. I guess that's why their ratings are so high.

As far as CNN goes, I can't really comment on Crossfire or any of their shows, as channel 10 on my remote is forbidden.

Huh, I didn't think you'd watch Fox news KaBlooey, since they're so right-wing biased -- or do I have you confused with some of the other posters on this board?

As for Laurie, we like to call her "Legs" around our house, for obvious reasons.

Let's see how long it will take for one of them to say they watch it for the "entertainment value"...

(And to Maury's question):

Yes, I certainly watch FOX News. My prefs are 1) CNN, 2) MSNBC and 3) FOX. FOX is transparently biased, and I take that into account when I watch...which is not often, but I'm addicted to the news channels and will watch anything relating to news while the others are at commercial break, for example. But Pachead, you bring up a very interesting point...FOX's ratings...I've always had a theory that their rating were so high because people like me were tuning in...for entertainment. I used to watch O'Reilly a lot, I guess because I like getting pissed off, but it got old and I rarely watch him anymore. I think Hannity is a whining fruitcake, and I can't watch him for more than 2 seconds.

So yeah, I watch...sometimes for news (I'm a big boy and I can see through their BS) and sometimes for entertainment. And sometimes just to see what the latest Republican Party line is.

Yeah, OK I said "entertainment". But just 'cause it's a cliche doesn't mean there's nothing to it.

Well if that Blonde Martha Fox chick isn't entertainment, I dunno what is. She happens to be on now, BTW...yum.
