Did anyone catch the broadcast of Cornell University's 3rd Party Presidential Candidate Debate on CSPAN a week or so ago?

How about the third party candidate debate on NOW with Bill Moyers?

Both were excellent.

If you are a Democrat... vote Nader

But seriously... the two party system isn't enough... I think a third party is needed because neither Bush or Kerry really speak to me well. I agree with one more then the other, but I would say only by around 60-70%

I watched both. It's nice to know at least one other person here did too.
I found that Badnarik (Libertarian) and Cobb (Green) had very interesting things to say, and think that if they had been part of the Bush-Kerry debates, the debates would have been more substantive.

BTW, a big to Bill Moyers for one of the most intelligent and thoughtful shows on TV.

Seconded on both points above. I particularly liked Badnarik's response to the issue of "free speech zones" and the conventions: "Anywhere I happen to be standing is a free spech zone."

I also liked a some of what Peroutka had to day, all up until he said he bases his entire political platform on a divinely inspired legal document (I'm an atheist...that sh*t don't fly with me). Mike, I hear ya on drastically reducing gov't spending, but you've lost me as far as your personal deity is concerned.

Green, as well, was in top form, particularly in his support for canadian style single payer health care.

Walt brown...not so good.

Man oh man do I wish for fair ballot access, debate access, and instant runoff voting.
