Interesting. While being interviewed by Tom Brokaw for MSNBC, Senator Kerry contradicted his earlier assertion that all of his military records had been released.

Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.

Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from.
Full interview is here.

Why didn't Kerry make them public?

Dubya did.

Enough with the conspiracy theories. Just because something is not made public does not necessarily mean that they have some deep dark secret to hide.

He was wrong, they were public. Here's the IQ article with links to the scores.

After all, why should the people want to know about their leaders and their character? As long as they have a nice tan, a good smile, full body manageable hair, and they aren't George Bush, that should be enough. Simple fact. Senator Kerry has lied. He is campaigning on "speaking truth to power" and his dying mother's last words to him, "Integrity. Integrity. Integrity." He lies about things he doesn't even need to lie about, like the circumstances surrounding his meetings with Security Council nations, Christmas in Cambodia, or even running the Boston marathon. He may not have a deep dark secret to hide, but he also lacks the character to stand up to scrutiny.

Sorry, ICruise, but I need to dust off my tin foil hat one last time. I just noticed that MSNBC has "revised" the Brokaw-Kerry interview. You can see both at the links below.

first interview

revised interview

I can understand if they cut it down for time, but it looks like they actually changed some of Senator Kerry's answers. For example:

first interview
Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from.
revised
Kerry: "That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it."

Also,

first interview
Kerry: Tom, it was done with respect, and it was done with pure sense of admiration for Dick and Lynne Cheney, who I think obviously love their daughter and are very proud of their daughter. She's made it a public thing. He's made it a public thing. I could have and should have perhaps mentioned Dick Gephardt, who honors his daughter. And loves her, in the same way.
revised
Kerry: "Tom, it was done with respect, and it was done with pure sense of admiration for Dick and Lynne Cheney, who I think obviously love their daughter and are very proud of their daughter. She's made it a public thing._ He's made it a public thing. And all I was trying to do was honor the reality that people are who they are."

and this

first interview
Kerry: No. It's not unfair. Because what we do know, from the commanders on the ground, is that they went there, as they marched to Baghdad. We even read stories today that they broke locks off of the doors, took photographs of materials in there. There were materials. And they left.
revised
Kerry: "No. It's not unfair. The truth is, they were warned about the ammunition dumps. They didn't give the right orders. They didn't secure it. The ammunition is missing. Those are the facts. And it happened on this president's watch."

I'm sure it's all just one big misunderstanding.

Does anyone know if President Bush was given the same opportunity?

I saw part of the interview tonight on Hardball, and they used the "new" version. It sounded like it was edited.

Yeah. I saw that too. Anybody want to speculate about who the good people at MSNBC/Dateline want to see elected tomorrow?

No matter who wins the election - the big losers are the "big 3" networks.

If there's anyone left that still insists that NBC, CBS, & ABC are somehow unbiased - those folks must be the hardest of the hardcore liberal left.
