I really don't think any genocide will be triggered by figuring out if women don't learn math as easily as men. But you're right, they have been triggered on less, but killing an integral part of continuing the human race wouldn't be rational in the least. So we would need to turn into a real backwards society for anything like that to happen.
What's so wrong with learning how and why people are different. People ARE different. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that fact. Treating everyone the like they are EXACTLY the same and there are no possible differences between the sexes or races is just stupid.
For example: There was an AIDS vaccine (that I haven't heard about lately, but I would assume they are still developing it) that was about 78% effective in blacks and about the same in asians. However in whites (and latinos I think) the overall effectiveness was about 5%. Would it be better to not acknowledge these differences, and go by the overall effectiveness, and probably making it so it wouldn't be widely used, or should we acknowledge the difference in races and actually use this to help blacks and asians?
I for one think that realizing and determining the differences in races and sexes would almost always be for the better, at least in today's society.
