Obnoxious, yes. But it does have a point: the guerilla-activism done by many in Hollywood alienated far more people than it ever motivated.

How so?

And what if without these activists, the vote had been a heavy majority for Bush?

My wife leans democrat and when Michael Moore started up with his "Americans are stupid" and when the musicians all banded together to do anything to defeat Bush she lost all respect for them. Her sentiment was that those people were entertainers, not political commentators. But her biggest gripe was Stuart Smiley lying constantly on his Radio program.

Maybe she's the only one though.
