Report: Hillary Clinton collapses
Monday, January 31, 2005 Posted: 1:28 PM EST (1828 GMT)

Hillary Rodham Clinton

BUFFALO, New York (AP) -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton collapsed Monday during a speech on Social Security, a radio station reported.

Colleen DiPirro, president of the Amherst Chamber of Commerce, told WBEN-AM radio that Clinton told the crowd she was feeling weak and had had a stomach virus.

Clinton started to speak then collapsed, DiPirro told the radio station.

Clinton, 57, was treated by an emergency crew at the scene and declined to be taken to a hospital, the radio station said.

She is scheduled to speak later Monday at a Catholic college about health care.

Several hundred people were waiting to hear that address. There were also hundreds of anti-abortion protesters waiting at the college.

Clinton's 58-year-old husband, former President Bill Clinton, underwent quadruple bypass surgery in September.

Somebody post Zimph's pic of her during a hearing. I've got a perfect caption for it now (in repsonse to what you just suggested).

Although, I AM glad she was able to leave the club on her own. Losing one's lunch in public can't be a fun experience.

Why? Just because someone disagrees with (or downright opposes) Hillary's political ideology doesn't make them the kind of jerk who would laugh at someone getting sick, particularly in a situation like that.

I hope she is OK. I would think that she would just cancel if she was that ill. I wish her a speedy recover.

Hmmm, some people here think because I am indirectly making fun of her I disagree with her politics: I don't. I got just as much a kick out of imagining her hurl all over a bunch of anit-abortion protestors (the follow-up event to the one where she passed out) as I did out of seeing the first President Bush hurl all over the Japanese ambassador.

Call me a jerk, I like gross humor (and BOTH Hillary Clinton and George H.W. Bush as politicians).
