these types of responses are a bit annoying... if you don't have anything to say, don't post!
anyways, hillary clinton will have to make herself out to look more conservative if she wants to win the whitehouse in 08. hanging around with republicans, even john mccain, is probably a good idea.

Please use proper English capitalization. Thanks!

I think his point was that John McCain hanging out with Hillary Clinton might make John McCain appear just as Democratic as Hillary Clinton hanging out with John McCain makes her appear Republican.
Or, perhaps his point was that it doesn't really matter. Politicians aren't nearly as polarized as they like the voters to be.

while we're splitting hairs, "thanks" is a sentence fragment, please change it to something like "I thank you for complying" or "I give you my thanks."

"Thanks" on its own is a very common interjection, so nothing wrong there

No need for "is" there, I'm afraid..
Anyways, bipartisan collaboration has been around since the dawn of democracy. It happens all the time. Why make a thread on this (on a Saturday night) and somehow angle it like it is the Democrats moving over to the right? George & Bill aren't even doing this on behalf of a political agenda, they use their fame as ex-presidents to help the victims.

If you speak Queen's English, there is a need for that "is". I don't know about you, but I'm a queen and I only insist on talking with the most poshest grammir.

Hillary Clinton, Republican. How different is that than Hillary Clinton, Noo Yoiker; or Hillary Clinton, heterosexual?

eesh. This is a train wreck.

Because they are. It's called trangulation and it can be an effective means of demonstrating to the America people, that candidates on both sides have it all wrong. According to the DLC, a move to the right is in order. This is exactly what Hillary is doing and with good reason.

Of course it is. Both parties are starting to realize that the majority of the votes sit in the centre, not at the extremes.

I wouldn't say "of course" as if the conclusion is obvious. There are a great many who still haven't gotten the picture. I'd say the dominant party in this country generally does get it.

I would argue that the center is starting to shift more to the right in America. Not night and day, but a shift none the less.
