Looting at Iraqi Weapons Plants Was Systematic, Official Says
The threat posed by these types of facilities was cited by the Bush administration as a reason for invading Iraq, but the installations were left largely unguarded by allied forces in the chaotic months after the invasion.

Dr. Araji's statements came just a week after a United Nations agency disclosed that approximately 90 important sites in Iraq had been looted or razed in that period.
OK. So the country was invaded so that a search of WMDs would be thorougly performed. But where these WMDs were likely to be made, no one bothered to guard those locations...

Maybe here?
One pictured Mr Bush looking under a piece of furniture in the Oval Office, at which the president remarked: "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be here somewhere."

After another one, showing him scouring the corner of a room, Mr Bush said: "No, no weapons over there," he said.
And as a third picture, this time showing him leaning over, appeared on the screen the president was heard to say: "Maybe under here?"

More importantly, there are tons of UN-inventoried biological and chemical agents missing from Iraq. It would be nice for the NY TImes to investigate their whereabouts.

Besides, I thought the word on the left was that Saddam was harmless... that all this equipment and those facilities posed no threat. If that is indeed the case, why the concern?

Care to substantiate that?

Then maybe there was none in the first place...

I thought this was common knowledge to all who pay attention. Regardless, here you go.
There are also hundreds of other sites that also refer to these "unaccounted for" stocks.

Oh. I do pay attention.

No WMDs. Some instruments were discovered, but many obsolete, and no WMDs.

I guess a proof of that is that there was no soldier standing guard and securing the sites. Or your soldiers/government would be quite incompetent, right?

Don't you know space, if they aren't visible now, they NEVER EXISTED! !!11

Ever

"Iraq didn't have WMD when we attacked, and gave months notice, so that means they NEVER HAD THEM EVER!!!11"

The fact people are willing to buy that without any afterthought says a lot about the anti-Bush zealots.

Is that why these sites were unguarded; because Bush also believed that Saddam was harmless? Perhaps the Bush admin's lack of concern over Iraqi weapons plants is the best proof so far that Saddam was indeed a non-threat to the world outside of Iraq.
