Deputies cuffed his hands behind his back and loaded him into a van with 14-year-old twin girls.

Pinellas Park, FL--- Scott Heldreth of North Carolina has been arrested numerous times for picketing abortion clinics and blocking sidewalks while praying.
[..]
Now his ten-year-old son, Josh, is following has followed in his footsteps.
[..]
Scott Heldreth is a veteran of the Operation Rescue and Operation Save America campaigns against abortion. He says he didn't intend to join this fight, until his son asked to be brought to Pinellas Park.

Status: Absconded from Registration
Last Reported Address: Kannapolis, NC
Heldreth is a Sex Offender under Florida law. Positive identification cannot be established unless a fingerprint comparison is made.
http://www.barf.org/archive/operation_rescue_national/melbourne-bn/ (more pics there)

In this sequence a Barnes and Noble customer is pursued through the store after multiple demands that Operation Rescue participant Scott Heldreth stop. We also witnessed numerous OR participants inserting their literature into books and reshelving them.
It appears to be true!

One protestor being a registered sex offender does not in any way act as an indictment of all the protestors, if that was your intent by posting this. If criticism of the Terry Schiavo protestors was not your intent in posting this, what was?

Hell, the US government employs ~3 million people around the country. I am sure there are a few registered sex offenders among that group. Would that knowledge make you question the validity of what the US government does?
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Take a bite at this:

This is the father who pretty much let his kid go be arrested by the cop bringing Terri a glass of water. So why didn't he just do it himself?

If I were a registered sex offender, I hell as wouldn't want to be arrested. So I guess I would send my kid to do the job for me.

What I want to know is why the media is silent on this. Remember the media putting up those pictures of the kids being arrested? By golly! Those evil cops are arresting children trying to help save a life! Do they have anything better to do?!

The media forgot to mention that the father is a registered sex offender. So the purpose of this thread is to raise awareness in general. I don't like it when the corporate media selectively tells the facts for whatever agenda suits them best.

This fact doesn't really have an impact on any of the issues raised, nor is it such an interesting bit of information that people in general would want to know, so I don't see why the media would be reporting it.

Kids get arrested for trying to bring a woman water = news.

Man's sex-offender status same as it has been for the past several years = not news.

You're mistaking mudslinging for legitimate information. The only interesting bit of this story is: Why would CPS allow a convicted child-rapist custody of his children?

Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure it isn't the threads they hate.

Go to the Maryland sex offender registry and you will be astonished how many offenders, and violent one's at that, are employed at State Universities and Community Colleges.
