There is a hidden meaning to this poll (well, okay, not so hidden). But if I made a poll asking whether or not Hillary were gay, it would get locked. So instead, I have this poll: would you elect a lesbian president of the US?

No. (wink) I don't think HIllary would be elected, but it would be fun to see her run. Would she come out of the closet to get votes? (On Oprah: Another Lesbian)

I must admit a part of me doesn't care about her sexual preferences if I think she will do a good job. Another part of me wants to deny that Hillary is lesbian.
Another part of me asks, "what's so hot about watching two lesbians if they wouldn't think of doing guys?"
See, part of the subconscious attraction for me is IMAGINING I might be with one or both. If there is no way, I'm disinterested.

Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

Absolutely, as long as she was the right man for the job.

I've never understood it either, but I'm guessing that it's the same sort of thing that makes shounen-ai and slash so popular among women.
Either that, or it's the multiple sets of naughty bits.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slash_fiction
It is commonly believed that slash fiction originated within the Star Trek: The Original Series fan fiction fandom, with 'Kirk/Spock' stories first appearing in the late 1970s. This should not be surprising as fan fiction as a whole owes its start largely to the popularity of Star Trek, and frustration at the series' cancellation. From there, increasing tolerance of homosexuality and frustration at portrayal of homosexual relationships in mainstream media fed a growing desire for authors to explore the subjects on their own terms with established media characters. Slash fiction followed the Star Trek franchise throughout the Star Trek spinoffs that were to follow the original series, and quickly branched out into other television shows, movies, and books as well.
<mojo2 resists the urge to make remark which would prove offensive to both Trekkies AND Gays>
From listening to Dr. Drew on Westwood One radio's "Loveline" I'm aware that younger women (up to their 20's) are often very drawn to the sexually ambiguous. Do you know or think this could be related to your observation about shounen-ai and slash's popularity?

I guess you met the wrong lesbians.
I know for sure that so far, of all the Americans I have met, none of them should get in a decision/leadership position. Does that mean that no Americans fit the bill?
I am going to say a "tentative" no.

I believe that the president should be a person of high moral integrity. It's probably been decades since we had a person like this in office. My opinion on homosexuality is this.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be decieved, Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Romans 1:24-28 read's (24Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting

And isn't it a shame that religion has no place in the governing of a country.... ya know, that whole separation of church and state deal?
See, the vast majority of people want their leaders to be able to think for themselves, and not follow the doctrine of someone else.
