He is a putz, and that's a stupid op-ed. He's been ticking me off by going around hyping up the debunked mercury-autism thing too.
I'll note though, that the right wing has been doing this too, like claiming this hurricane is God's punishment for abortion. And I'm also not sure what Ted Kennedy has to do with it.

Cody,
You have the widest paintbrush I have every seen.
There are 10's of millions of Americans who are Democrats, if not over 100 million.... are you really ignorant enough to think 10's of millions of people are all exactly the same in every regard?
Mind you, you said an entire country sucked because a couple of people living in it where upset over a sporting event. This is akin to saying "Tonya Harding paid someone to kneecap a competitor before a skating event.. ALL Americans are violent thugs who cheat". Can you honestly not see the ignorance in that statement?
Now, if your post said "Robert Kennedy is human crap" most people would agree with you in this case I think. I know I do.
If your legs get sore from your constant dramatic knee jerk reactions ice might help.
Cheers,
James

Maybe Robert Kennedy can explain to this woman how the governor of Mississippi is responsible for her husband's death.
The truth is that he is just a piece of crap.

Sorry, James. I took it out. I'm just pissed off about everything and I feel terrible for those people. We lost part of our house and a car in hurricane Frances last year and this hits home hard for us. We had $20K in damages - and ours were minor compared to others' damages. I feel very bad for people. Now I feel terrible because the news reports are showing people begging news reporters for water.
All Robert Kennedy does is sit there, drink his water, and write criticisms of people. He's an ass.

With all the "human crap" running loose in this country, I for one am grateful that we have human toilet paper like Cody and others to help clean it up.

Cody,
Your rants are usually spot on... just too wide is all. Truth be told, I usually agree with what you are saying in principle....and I must say there are times I giggle when I see how wide you attack (i.e..... someone on vacation steps on your toe while you are in line at a store...so now all of Spain sucks).
You are obviously very compassionate and empathetic for peoples suffering, and I give you huge props for that. The internet is just full of paranoia and over reaction, and sometimes I feel the need to point this out.
I must say though, if you are like this at times on the internet, I pitty your poor husband when he does something wrong at home in person!!!
One thing I do know for sure.... the world would be very boring without passionate women!
Cheers,
James
p.s. And if you ever need to borrow an icepack, please don't hesitate to ask.

There may be some nuts who actually think that stuff. I'm not discounting that. But they sure as hell aren't prominent party leaders or folks writing on popular websites.

Ummmmm...
I think he was pointing out the irony. He wasn't saying that the governor of Mississippi was responsible.
All he is saying is the less restrictions on C02 we have, the more destructive hurricanes we will have like Katrina.

Looks like, but I can definitely point to people who tried to blame Sept. 11 attacks on sinners and atheists.

I'm surprised he didn't blame Bush for the Hurricane.

And we can point to any number of people who blame Sept. 11 on Bush or some convoluted conspiracy.
It’s delicious irony that Kennedy leads off with kooky misquoted Bible verse and quotes Pat Robertson. As I’ve said before, both flip-sides of the same fugly coin. Each is a nutty as the other, each mixes politics with extreme religious views -one misquotes the Bible, the other worships the Holy Shrine of Kyoto.
Each wants to ram their views down the throats of ‘sinners’ and force them to change their eeeeevil ways or face X doomsday scenario. Each exploits any misguided opportunity during a crisis to shamelessly promote their crazy agendas and spout more of their tired, accusatory rhetoric.
They’re the same type of extremist nitwits- just at opposite ends of the political spectrum. Flipsides of the same coin.

This guy MUST be Robert F. Kennedy JR., right?
The SON of the Democratic Senator (and former U.S. ATTy. Gen) who was executed while just after having won the 1968 Democratic primary in California.
Right?

Well, RFK Jr. is not living up to his father's name.

Yes he is. RFK senior was an idiot too. Just like most of the Kennedy's are. If he were alive today he would likely be a bloated drunken laughing stock just like his stupid brother.

Whatever... no offense, but no amount of your empirical evidence will change the fact that there are nuts with extremist view points on both the Right and the Left. You can point fingers and say "we aren't as bad as them" all day, but this fundamental truth remains.
Why is it that post after post of yours seems to be an attempt to perpetuate a rift between the Left and the Right? Do you enjoy conflict of this sort? Do you think that this stark divide is good for anybody? Do you think that it empowers the Right?

For the umpteenth time, I call things how I see them. If you disagree, that's fine.
If you want to debate an actual issue, bring it on.
