seems the overreaction by the rabid left to blame this on Bush has started to backfire. (as usual).
The lunatic moonbat left can scream HATE BUSH until blood comes out of the sides of their mouths but in the end all they accomplish is the demonstration of their own ignorance.

Fixed.
But seriously, I do believe history will show that the "Bush Haters" were no different from the "Clinton Haters" both in their virtriol, ignorance and significance.
When it comes to extreme fringes, the right and the left both have to deal with the same nut jobs.

That's what I was trying to explain to 'art director'. Much to the dismay of Democrats, it seems the blame has fallen squarely on the shoulders of the local politicians - all of which are crooked, inept Democrats.
Naturally.

So much for the latest liberal Bush-bashing extravaganza. Back to the drawing board for the Dems.
On another note, this poll has completely turned Vegas upside down. Bookmaker odds on another wave of Cindy Sheehan mega-media coverage have dropped significantly... from 20:1 to 2:1.

PS, note the absence of the anti-Bush folks in this thread.
Just hold some truth in front of them and they bury their heads in the nearest sandpit.

I still say most of this falls on the governor's shoulders. But the fact that it took three days for Bush to get off of his arse and acknowledge the problem says alot about his cluelessness. And when he did, he says noone anticipated the levee breaks..total ********e.

If Bush was clueless, how should we classify NBC, USA Today, and the Washington Post? Were they clueless as well, or just lying outright?
New Orleans spared direct hit
At the Superdome, home to 9,000 storm refugees, wind peeled pieces of metal from the golden roof, leaving two holes that let water drip in. People inside were moved out of the way.
Others stayed and watched as sheets of metal flapped and rumbled loudly. From the floor, looking up more than 19 stories, it appeared to be openings of about six feet long. Outside, one of the 10-foot, concrete clock pylons set up around the Superdome blew over.
"The Superdome is not in any dangerous situation," Gov. Kathleen Blanco said.
USA Today
Big Easy rests easier
In New Orleans, there was significant damage but also sighs of relief that the city had escaped the utter devastation predicted if the levee system had failed and unleashed catastrophic flooding.
"It's not life-threatening," said Josephine Elow, 73, as she tried to hold together a set of broken doors at the hotel Le Richelieu. "God's got our back."
Washington Post - Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005
New Orleans, with its combination of high population density and low-lying terrain, figured to be devastated by Katrina, and some experts predicted the storm could become one of the worst catastrophes in U.S. history.
But the city managed to avoid the worst of the worst. The Mississippi River did not breach New Orleans's famed levees to any serious degree, at least in part because Katrina veered 15 miles eastward of its predicted track just before landfall.
