Still waiting for bin Laden to be found, captured, and dealt with.

What proof do you have that this isn't already the case?

Why would they (the government) not tell us? Are they afraid that support for the war on terror would dwindle? They don't want to make OBL a martyr?

Personally, I don't think there is *any* way that Bush could keep a secret that big.

Why? You know something that no one else knows? Like proof that Iraq has WMD's?

Bin Laden being #1 American Enemy and no one would goat about his capture?

On the other hand, Iraq is "Mission Accomplished", so...

Yeah, it all makes sense now...

Those could be some reasons. Maybe they fear some sort of preprogrammed response... like if-OBL-dies-unleash-hell scenario. Maybe he's being watched closely?

I think there are quite a few reasons to not announce his capture or killing. Same with pehaps monitoring the skumbag for a while.

With all those video tapes OBL was so fond of putting out, giving his message face to face to all his followers, and now we "suddenly" have only audio, I'm thinking back to when that Predator drone aircraft put a Hellfire missile into a Land Rover out in the desert and sending a "tall arab dressed in white" to meet his maker.

spacefreak, you really do live in a spinning black hole of outer space, where common sense and simple logic is turned inside out and upside down, don't you.

Even tho we had Osama cornered in Tora Bora and a Brig. Gen. in command of 4,000 marines ready and willing to surround him in an area of a dozen square miles, the US command refused to commit to capturing him "dead or alive."

According to this revealing NYTimes magazine article:

An American intelligence official told me that the Bush administration later concluded that the refusal of Centcom to dispatch the marines - along with their failure to commit U.S. ground forces to Afghanistan generally - was the gravest error of the war.
Indeed!

And as to why he's now free to roam a rugged mountainous area of 40,000 square miles in Pakistan along the Afghanistan border is because we are dependent upon Pakistan President Musharraf, and he's not about to risk his life on finding Osama.

Furthermore, we are bogged down in Iraq, losing a mistake riddled war without end.

I don't know what planet you're living on but it ain't this real world. Yet you sure are a good toady to our chump-in-chief.

Keep it up, it humors me to no end.
