What's even funnier is that no one has seen or heard from the offender since shortly after that was recorded.

Apparently, 2 Secret Service dudes immediately tackled the guy, roughed him up a bit, then threw him in a vehicle and drove away. It was assumed that he was arrested, but there is no record of an arrest.

Go Cheney!

The true face of contemporary American conservatism - the possibility that an American is abused and illegally detained by the government for speech elicits a cheer.

Everyone probably knows this, but just in case... what that guy said is exactly what Cheney said to a US Senator on the floor of the Senate.

Well, Spacefreak's guilty of complete Bovine Scatology.

Here, from a source liberal enough for you to believe it:

http://www.democrats.com/node/6061

Seems the good doctor was detained for "about 20 minutes" by the local police who were "completely courteous" the entire time. He wasn't tackled, was civilly approached and behaved in a civil manner.

Far from "not being heard from again," he was almost immediately released when the VP exited the area (see, this is common VIP protection protocol, NOT a conspiracy) and is now attempting to sell the video of his encounter on eBay.

Thanks for the FUD, Spacey.
