A man has died after violence in the Lozells area of Birmingham on Saturday night. Four people were stabbed and two people shot in the disturbances.
A black man in his 20s died from stab wounds and a police officer was shot with a ball bearing gun. The other injuries are not said to be serious.

A riot broke out after a public meeting in the area over an alleged sexual attack on a 14-year-old girl.

This will not end well.

Ummm... Loads of afro-caribbean youths fighting loads of asian (Pakistani) youths.

It's well-known, but well gagged by the government (Channel 4 were prevented from screening a documentary on it by the police), that gangs of asian youths run around gang raping young women. This is not isolated - it's happening all over the country (even happened twice on my local common).
Government has been playing this activity down because of racial fears. I guess the afro-carribean community in Birmingham wasn't happy with this and wanted wanted a bit of justice.

Even the leftist Guardian essentially calls it a "race riot"...

I've noticed in your posts that all the ills of the world, according to you, are because of supposed "lefties." The world is not black and white; there are infinite shades of gray, and you seem to pigeonhole people for your own convenience.

Actually, most of the ills of the world are created by people who can't think properly. By coincidence, it just so happens that the vast majority of these people tend towards the "left" side of the political spectrum.

The tension in Birmingham is racially motivated but I wonder if the apparent gang rape at the centre of all this even occurred.

Yeah, we really had a good lead on censorship and propaganda there for a while in the thirties and early forties.
