I'm not sure why you're equating Colbert's parody (not so much satire, but parody is a more appropriate word) with Miller who delivers that which he believes, with a little bit of wittiness and honesty.
I don't think FOX for one minute believes they're hiring Miller to counter Colbert or Jon Stewart. I think they're probably of the mind that they're adding a contributor to the Hannity&Colmes show. At least in my market, H&C doesn't air at the same time as Colbert or Stewart.
