9/11 operator

New York City officials released 1,613 recordings from Sept. 11, 2001, that hadn't been made public in March, when transcripts of 130 calls to emergency operators from people trapped inside the building were released.

City officials said they simply overlooked this batch of recordings, which were no longer needed for legal suits or investigative purposes.
Let's not forget. Let's not forget that these people, and others around the world, were victims of the madness of Man, and that madness has no religion, country, or purpose other than its own madness.

Maybe, just maybe, if we were all to breathe slowly...

...for a moment.

The recordings include 21 calls from firefighters inside the twin towers and 10 calls from people working inside the burning buildings.
People continued working?

While I'm not sure of your religious affiliation, should you just happen to be a Muslim, -2 points for trying to further your personal agenda under the guise of philosophy.

You get +2 for being right however, so I guess it's a wash.

This comment I made was non-religious.

Although I respect the fact that people need to believe in a "higher power" or Creator, I do not care much for religions, especially if is is used to assassinate, or for war.

As I wrote, maybe it is time for everyone to take a breather.

I still believe that the real monsters are the merchants of weapons, because they get fat regardless of who uses their products. I am all for self-defense, but progress makes it easier to kill and in larger numbers. I'd rather see actual wars fought in hand-to-hand combat, so people could face the madness of their own actions, from first hand, first row, and be disgusted with their useless anger and themselves.

But I know: I am an idealist.

P.S. I realize the irony that in being wrong here I further proved your point.

P.P.S. You still get the +2 points.

I've often thought, instead of war, why don't representatives from the countries concerned play chess. Winner takes all. National defence would consist of training chess masters.

I heard a clip on the radio of a woman trapped on a high floor in one of the towers and she was sobbing, "it's so hot in here, so hot..."

It brought me back to 2001, and I shed a tear.

Oh come on, let's have a cage fight at least. Defence minister vs defence minister. Two men enter, one man leaves.

Oh. And there'd be a rule which says the US can't vote Chuck Norris into the position. That'd just be unfair.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

It would be the end of Rumsfeld. I think even Rice could take Rumsfeld.

But could've Saddam taken Bush in the cage? There's the real question.
