I never could figure out how someone could be that incoherent until someone suggested that he was a dry drunk. Then it all made sense

Crooks and Liars » Brian Williams Interviews a pretty incoherent Bush

WILLIAMS: How have you been read wrong?

BUSH: I don’t know. I frankly don’t pay that much attention. I don’t want to hurt people’s feelings, but…

WILLIAMS: Still not watching television, huh?

BUSH: I watched a good baseball game.

Worst. President. Ever.

I can't wait until we have a President again that can at least talk decently and intelligently.

Brian got his ass handed to him.

Those excerpts were but a small part of the whole interview.

If Dubya is a dumbass, then Clinton, Gore, and Kerry were even dumber. His college grades and SAT scores prove it.

That's how a person appears when they're trying to keep all the BS hidden inside. They squeeze and squawk and make all sorts of contortions & gyrations and generally appear awkward, ill at ease and generally retarded. It's hard work doin' all that squeezin'.

Notice too if you will, how the accent launches into Shît-Howdy Overdrive and the smirks 'n giggles come frequently and inappropriately. Just watch the body language.

Is there anyone who still believes this frat boy isn't in over his head? Anyone? Hands, please...

I'm gonna have to call *timeline* on this one.

Where were you when the rest of the world discovered those scores were complete fabrications?

The Wall Street Journal even issued a correction.

Here's something for you to chew on -

They had a similar reaction to the news that Mr. Bush's SAT scores were higher than both those of John Kerry. Linda Gottfredson, a co-director of the University of Delaware-Johns Hopkins Project for the Study of Intelligence and Society, told United Press International columnist Steve Sailer in 2004 that when she converted Mr. Bush's SAT score to an IQ, "I derived an IQ of 125, which is the 95th percentile." A study in the latest issue of the academic journal Political Psychology concludes that "Bush is definitely intelligent . . . in the upper range of college graduates in raw intellect."

Great, Bush beat Kerry. By all accounts he certainly didn't beat Gore, who is in the 99th percentile.

bzzt.

Come on, dude. This is ridiculous.

Everybody except you has been there and done that *years* ago.

After I handed you your ass - not 5 minutes ago - you come back and hand me another load of BS in the form of an outdated webpage using the same bogus information I just smacked down.

IQ's of Bush, Kerry, Gore: Hard Evidence

um, sure. It's a year older than the last crap you thought was real.

Does a thread even exist in this forum where you weren't completely wrong?

I'd like a link to that thread. And no, I won't hold my breath.

Hell, I'm just thankful you don't proclaim yourself to be a Republican. I'd die from humiliation.

While we're on the subject of intelligence...

When you get a minute, make a thread where people can post their IQ scores.

I bet you (seriously) $50 that the average score claimed by the folks at MacNN will be at least 130.

If I win the bet - you won't even have to pay me.

Yes, it's a statistical impossibility that most of the people here will have an average IQ score that exceeds the average of 100. But that won't stop them from lying.

If they weren't higher - why would the liberal media have to fabricate lower scores?

Now there's a thinker.

Seriously, the proof is out there somewhere. Else there wouldn't have been the mass of apologies, corrections, and retractions from the mainstream media.

pfft.

They're white. And you're still wearing them.

You don't even own a pair of navy blue socks.

In the middle lefthand drawer of your dresser there's a pair of brown socks - the only other color you have besides white.

Scary, huh?

It wasn't the liberal media, it was a humor website. You still have yet to prove his college grades or his SAT scores.

From that logic yours has to be 42 (because mine is 158)!!

Or are you saying that everyone's IQ is 100 and everyone who's IQ is higher is actually lying?

I'd say people with IQs lower than 100 just don't like to post in such threads!
Hence the statistic just represents a false result - not necessarily lying!

I didn't think he was incoherent. He wasn't what I'd call eloquent and he showed absolutely zero charisma, but he made sense. Now if he'd been asked to explain Camus, then you would have seen his shortcomings. Bush is fine in the role of the guy next door talking about everyday topics. It's when he has to deal with more complicated subjects that Bush gets into trouble. Which is why, I think, he dumbed down foreign policy into "with us or against us", "good vs evil", "pro-Israel or pro-terrorist" etc.

The talk about IQ is interesting, but has nothing to do with Bush. What Spliffdaddy is advocating is "Look, pay no attention to your direct experience of Bush, just look at these numbers here. The numbers prove Bush is intelligent".

I hate to bring up the cliché, but this is the Emperor Has No Clothes at its finest. Never mind that he behaves like a buffoon, gives remarkably shallow answers to serious questions and almost always ends his answers (such as they are) with basically "rah rah America". He recognizes the answer is beyond him, so he channels his answer into some cheap, shallow slogan, his arms hovering away from his hips and a self-satisfied smirk. "The 'merican people have gotta unnerstann..." Never mind that stuff, the numbers just don't support that. He's a smart guy, because after all the numbers know better. Never mind your direct experience of him, that's just Lib-ruhl projection. Bush has got a lotta substance and these numbers prove it.

The fact that this is even being debated here is attributable to Spliff's RDF, which with all respect is finely honed. But RDF nonetheless.

Bush may very well have been intelligent at one point. But I suspect his addicted years where he dealt with alcoholism and cocaine probably have left their mark.

It has to do with their respective opinions on the treatment of people who do cocaine.

How you could mention "President" and "Clinton" and come up with "cocaine" instead of "blow job" or "cigar" is beyond me.

The re-run of the Daily Show episode where they brought that up played last night

Not the accent itself. The fact that he launches it into overdrive depending on what he's saying and where he's saying it. D'ya hear him a-talkin' like that in his state of the yewn-yun speeches? Overall, I'm illustrating the dumbass gyrations he goes through in an attempt to bluff, bullshit and mislead.

If he was good at it, I wouldn't say he was dumb. He's rotten at it, which leads me to believe that he believes that people are as stupid as he is. So yeah...the over the top accent is a part of the picture. Get the picture?

And to be real clear, I don't despise him for his lack of intelligence. That would be absurd. I despise the little frat boy for his arrogance and his lies which have lead to the unnecessary death of thousands of people, among many other things. The fact that he's a moron only makes him twice as dangerous.

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be Steve Guttenburg.

I understand your point about the accent, but I don't understand your using his membership in the greek system as an insult. Did a 'frat boy' steal your girlfriend or something? From what I've heard, at large colleges like Yale, most people join some sort of greek house. It's not like he woke up one morning thinking, "Gee, I want to be a chauvinistic, alcoholic jerk who is superior to anyone else." And no, I'm not in the Greek system here in college.

I have no idea what my IQ is and don't particularly want to.

Also, that is not a statistical impossibility. There is no reason why a given group of people cannot have a high IQ average.
