It's really not write to be filling kids minds like that at such a young age. They're teaching hate, just like the Islamic Extremists. They just think in since it's Christian hate it must be ok.
I really love how they said they were like the Palestinian camps that train kids with hand grenades. But again, because they're Christian, they think it must be ok.
This should be linked to the There-Are-No-Christian-Terrorists thread. These are Christian terrorists in training.

Oh come on, what 5 year old is dissatisfied with what he/she has accomplished in life? I feel sorry for these kids.

You must have missed that part where they said they were building gods army, had the kids in camo, or said they were the generation where Jesus would return.
You are aware of what the return of Jesus requires, right?

what exactly does "building God's army" mean? I'd like to know how this camp interprets that phrase.

It doesn't. Hate is thrown around in here like it has a broad meaning.

Aside from comparing themselves to Palestinian camps training kids to use grenades and talking about building an army of god, I really couldn't tell. Sorry.

I don't think so. The nice Christian lady explained that there are two kinds of people in the world. Those who believe in Jesus and those who don't. That seems like a pretty narrow, hateful view to me.

There are two types of people. Gay and Straight.
Is that hateful?
Of course not. I would say the reason you feel it is may be conviction.
Just for the record, I do believe this minority group is going overboard. And they really aren't following what the Bible teaches.
But I think some of you are exaggerating a bit.

Either you're being dense for the sake of argument, or you're really poor at picking up a-little-more-than-subtle messages.

No, I would say you two were projecting ideas or beliefs that simple aren't apparent there because you WANT that to be true.
Again, these people will be gone before any said battles if what the Bible said is indeed true.
So your ideas are pretty irrelevant.

"Who would give up their lives for Jesus" ... kids cheering. Great. Reminds me of the terrorist camps where kids cheer when asked "who would give up their lives for Allah". Next thing you know, they are strapped with a bomb and ask to die for Allah.

Sexual orientation is a trait, while the statement she made implies an "us against them" attitude.
Going overboard? perhaps, but like I said before I would like to see the entire film.

Another projection.
The Bible talks about in the end Christians being murdered for admitting they believe. That denying Christ would save your "Life"
It says to give up ones life for the truth is something commendable.
It's not talking about suicide bombing.
I would never deny my faith to save my life here.
On the other hand, other religions have "get outs" that give you an ok to deny things about your religion to save your own life here on earth.

If you haven't picked it up yet, we're saying they operate just like Islamist extremists. You're saying it's ok just because they're Christian.

Well, this trailer is really not enough to go on. Maybe they are extremists -- but maybe that's just the impression we're given so we'll be interested in seeing the movie. I hope I'm wrong and its just another benign camp-but I rather doubt it considering a movie about a run of the mill camp would be boring.
It's just this seems a lot different than the cookies, juice and Jesus at my camp! I saw NO cookies at this camp and I am offended by that alone!

You're talking about the smallest war in history on our own territory with virtually no enemy troop presence because they were over the Atlantic Ocean. As brave as those troops were, this isn't the Iraq War we're talking about.

Who did they vow hatred against???

Obviously, you didn't find the camp frightening enough. You're lying through your teeth here. The trailer clearly said that while kids in Palestine are going to camp and getting hand grenades, our kids are going to Bible camp. Clearly, in context the illustration was one of differences.
This should be linked to the There-Are-No-Christian-Terrorists thread. These are Christian terrorists in training.
What was terrorist about it???

B. See A
C. No. The return will CAUSE the "holy war", according to evangelical doctrine. It will start the 7 years of tribulation.
Can't say that I agree with these people, but the kids aren't toting weapons, and and there was no sense of violence in the piece.
I don't know where in the hell you guys come up with your fantasies.
* "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
They don't look for "war" with mankind, but against demonic influence and spiritual corruption. It's a spiritual war fought with prayer, not grenades.

Its subtle but I see where GoMac is coming from.
The kids are chanting something about "righteous judges", wearing camo, and otherwise labeling the "enemy". Its it clear? No. Somewhat suggestive? Sort of. But please don't stop "smacking" each other down. Its both hilarious and sad at the same time.
What more worrying is that they're brainwashing children to promote their religion.
