How about no posting, no political bickering, no intrigue discovery, or liberal-conservative basing, or conspiracy theorising?
How about we give this day the time the victims need, a few thoughts, some silence, some consideration to the losses of friends, family...
Or simply silence for the sake of giving time to our hearts to consider the pain some of us have endured from this terrible attack on innocent bystandards?
This is only a suggestion.
I will commemorate this day. 5 years ago started 2 weeks of very intense work for me; finding people to provide debriefing across Canada and the US, in some countries of Europe too. Counselling people of various origins; some Muslims, most non-Muslims. People who wanted to understand. People who lost loved ones, mostly people in shock.
People scared too; how many false alarms were triggered following the attack? From where I was, we counted almost a bomb threat call every minute or so.
I hate OBL, just as I hate everythiing that made him who he is. My heart is full of sadness not only for the victims, but for the perpetrators of terrorism. I don't understand: I just wish all of this could stop.
I will commemorate 9/11, and I will take good time to think about the victims. Not only those of 9/11, but all those innocents from Israel, Palestine, Darfur...
I don't like what this world is turning into. But I will give good thoughts about it. Not much talking. A lot of silence, and good thoughts, for a moment, the time of a breath, a few thoughts, because I don't want to forget.
