French folly

PANICKY President Jacques Chirac has called crisis talks over al-Qaeda’s threat to hit French targets.

This is the same Jacques Chirac who personally vetoed a UN resolution on Iraq in 2002, wrecking hopes of a global alliance against Saddam Hussein.

He was terrified French support would trigger a backlash from its large population of Muslims.

By waving the national flag of surrender, he hoped the jihadists would leave France alone.

The opposite is the case. By showing weakness, Chirac earned the contempt of Islamic fanatics.

His surrender, which split the precious alliance between Europe and America, was as pointless as it was spineless.

The war on “unbelievers” has nothing to do with perceived injustices in Iraq. Or Chechnya. Or Kashmir. Or indeed Algeria.

This is a global jihad with no respect for borders.

And last year’s Paris riots were merely a dry run to test French resolve.

Let's pay attention to the pattern. Weakness and capitulation guarantees further attacks.

The test run to test resolve is followed by the main thrust.

"CALCIUM" (Chavez, Ahmadinejad, Belarus President Lukashenko, Castro and International Ummah of jihadist Muslims) is using this same strategy.

Belarus President Aleksander Lukashenko Europe's "Last Dictator" who signed an Anti-US agreement with Ahmadinejad.

Chavez was the bad cop and Ahmadinejad was the good cop during this past week's UN visits to America and a frighteningly large segment of America welcomed BOTH of the foreign leaders who wish no good on the American government. CALCIUM's dry run on America was a success.

Now they can finalize their plans.

The Dangers of Calcium Overload
Posted by: webmaster on Monday, January 20, 2003 - 01:27 PM CST

We often hear about the virtues of calcium and the importance of getting enough calcium in our diets to maintain healthy bones. But what if the body contains too much calcium? The condition is called hypercalcemia, and if left untreated, can wreak havoc in multiple organ systems in the body.

There are many causes of elevated calcium levels, but people with certain types of cancer are at particular risk. Below, oncologists Dr. Lee Rosen, Dr. James Berenson, and Dr. Robert Figlin, discuss the dangers of hypercalcemia, and methods of treating it.

The Dangers of Calcium Overload :: FitAndWell.com - Up to date health, fitness, diet, and well being information. :: Fit and Well provides up to date health, fitness, diet, and well being information.

We should be willing to allow the members of CALCIUM to exist as long as they pose no threat to our or anyone else's health or safety or freedom.

The OP quotes The Sun as a source of serious political discourse. Enough said.

You have a dry sense of humor. I would not post something from a source which I did not believe were true. That you would question the content of my post solely because of the source is so absurd that I'm forced to believe the joke was intentional.

Maybe this will be less humorous. And there are many other sources carrying the same story.

Zawahiri threatens France and announces merger with GSPC
By Olivier Guitta
http://counterterrorismblog.org/2006...france_and.php
Further to my recent post on the threat on France, the recent September 11 video message of Zawahiri confirms this. Zawahiri again denounced France for the 2004 law on religious signs but this time also blames France for its active participation in UNIFIL forces in Lebanon. Indeed Zawahiri asks to hit the interests of the Jews and the Crusaders and forcefully condems all those who support UN Resolution 1701 on Lebanon.

Importantly, even though since 2003 the GSPC had pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda, Zahawiri being the messenger of Osama Bin Laden only announces now Al Qaeda's official merger with the GSPC. In fact, last year Zawahiri originally refused the GSPC's help. But it sounds like as of now GSPC's assets are important to Al Qaeda. In fact, GSPC's extensive networks in Western Europe especially France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Britain is a godsend for Al Qaeda and allows them to really boost up their operations in that region of the world. In practical terms, Zawahiri instructs his European operatives to work hand in hand with the GSPC.
This does not bode well especially for France since it is GSPC's number one enemy.
In light of these new developments, it seems only logical that French authorities are worried about that "merger".

Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (Arabic: الجماعة السلفية للدعوة والقتال; French: Groupe Salafiste pour la Prédication et le Combat, GSPC; also known as Group for Call and Combat) is a militant Sunni Islamist group which aims to overthrow the Algerian government and institute an Islamic state. It is Wahhabist, although its members prefer to call themselves Salafis. The group has declared its intention to attack Algerian, French, and American targets.

The GSPC has been designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. Department of State.
