Seriously though, Karzai's control barely extends beyond his palace in Kabul.

The Taliban sympathizers in Pakistan could not be as easily dealt with as the Taliban in Afghanistan. Pervez has had a more difficult time, though NEITHER has had anything resembling a fun time.

I believe Musharraf referred to Karzai as the Mayor of Kabul once. An accurate depiction ... and even that is only with constant support by US troops.
