Seriously, we need an immediate death penalty.
We can punish them and donate their organs to those in need of them. We don't need to waste our money and time with people like this, defense or imprisonment is too good for them.
ERIE, Pa. -- A woman used her 4-week-old baby as a weapon in a domestic dispute, swinging the infant through the air and striking her boyfriend with the child, authorities said.
"The baby was swung at the individual that she was arguing with," Erie 4th Ward District Judge Tom Robie said.
The baby was critically injured in the attack early Sunday, said District Attorney Bradley Foulk.

I understand the rage. I work with abused/neglected children every day. The woman will get her own.

Even if you're completely heartless…why on earth would you use a baby to hit somebody with?

Yes, just give her an immediate trial Chinese style and get rid of her.
What a piece of human fecal matter.

Serious mental health issues?
This is a truly reprehensible thing to do.

And you want the organs reused?
For whom?

I don't believe this case to be unique. There is a large spectrum of abuse towards children through spousal disputes. From manipulating the children against the other parents to sequestering the children, if not kidnap them. Let's not forget the throwing of chairs, irons, knives/forks and whatever that comes handy in a fight but end on the child because he/she was in between.
And then parents hiding the wounded child (or threathening him if he dares speak the truth) for fear of having the child remove from the home.
It is a bad case of using a child as a weapon, but there is no limits to the abuse the children are being victimized for just by being innocent bystanders.

As horrific as this story is, perhaps the saddest thing is that I wasn't too terribly surprised by this kind of behavior. I've met many people whom I imagine could be capable of something like this.
Disgusting...

There are many, many people who shouldn't be allowed to have children.
The pity is that there is nothing anyone can do about it. It's a basic human right.

Or at least next time make sure the husband has a baby too so it's an even match.

While your rage is understandable, thankfully we don't base our justice system on rage. Somebody might express their rage against something you do, ending your life suddenly.

If it was something like using a baby as a bat then I would welcome it - I'd deserve it.

What if somebody thought you had done something else that offended them just as much? Would they be justified in immediately killing you?

If it involved the killing or serious injury to another person, yes, they could kill me.
But we're not talking about "something" that "offended them."
WE ARE TALKING ABOUT SWINGING A 4-WEEK INFANT THROUGH THE AIR BY THE FEET AND HITTING SOMEONE OR SOMETHING WITH IT.

More people who should die, die, die.
The sheriff's report said the 1-year-old child had "bite marks to face and chest, second- and third-degree burns to the fingers and the skin had started peeling and turning black."
When the boy was first rushed to the hospital, doctors treated his fingers after Cruz claimed she he accidentally put them in a hot cup of water.
"Doctors say that is definitely impossible," said von Ancken. "They say what happened is his hand was immersed in the water, held for an extended period of time. (His hand) was burned so badly, that his fingers may have to be amputated."
Click on the link and look at their smug pictures. I say sterilize them - without anesthesia.

Cody would you say any woman that did such a thing was mentally stable?
Do you think said baby is any worse right now?
I just don't believe two wrongs make a right. I'd rather see the mother see the error in her ways, and maybe educate the masses so it may not happen anymore.

Ah, you're sounding so liberal.
You think it's "mental illness" that results in not one, but TWO people who tortured not one, not two, but THREE kids?
Give me a freaking break.
They are just evil.
You insult truly mentally ill people with that attitude.
Better vote for the Kerry/Hillary ticket.

Gotta love Cody Dawg's desire to rid the world of fair trials.
Personally I've always felt that the intarn3t should serve as judge and jury for all. Yeah, that's it...
