Win The DeVos for Governor Video Contest And Win An iPod!
It's that time of year again, that time when your television plays political ad after political ad. We try our hardest to deliver our message in quick, informative, and entertaining ads. Dick DeVos knows Michigan is full of talented individuals and he wants to showcase your enthusiasm and ingenuity! That is why he has decided to have a Create Your Own DeVos for Governor Video Contest.
Use any content, television ads, press releases, websites, you name it and it is fair game (just keep it legal) to create your own DeVos for Governor video. If our staff likes what they see, you will win a Video iPod and have your ad featured by our campaign!
Dick DeVos For Governor
Let's see how creative conservatives can be. Or let's see how profit minded liberals can be.
Or let's see how hypocritical iPod lusters are.
Anyway, it's a brilliant idea! Don't be surprised if it is emulated elsewhere.

I remember when moveon.org did this in 2004. Someone submitted a Bush-Hitler ad, and although it was never aired, I believe Bush used it to say Democrats are unhinged.

To which you'd begrudgingly agree. Right?

From watching the adverts, particularly the AD-CHECK one, it appears that Gov. Granholm thinks she's running against President Bush, and not Dick DeVos. If that's an ad that is indicative of her campaign, she's going to lose it for herself.
Campaigning against the President and then using smear-by-association is not the best tactic.

I can only speak for myself, but yes, I am certainly unhinged.

I keep reminding myself that the bashers here do not present a realistic approximation of an electoral group in any jurisdiction or else I'd argue the point. Even then, the bashers voted against Lieberman. Maybe the voters ARE that unhinged and maybe the campaigns are accurately measuring that rabidity.
