Reid got $1M in land sale
In 1984 Congressman George Hansen went to prison and paid $40K for violating Congress's financial-disclosure laws, even after he had amended his filings to reflect his real financial dealings involving $300,000.
Senator Harry Reid, like Congressman Hansen, has now been found out to have not disclosed his financial dealings under Congress’s financial-disclosure laws regarding a sale in which land was transferred to a company created by a presumed friend . The deal is said to have netted over $ 1 MILLION in profit for Reid, far more than what Rep. Hansen went to jail for.
Is it not a matter of equal application of the law that Senator Reid be tried for his criminal conduct and sent to jail?
Unfortunately, what the American people don’t know is after the Hansen fiasco took place, an unwritten law on Capitol Hill seems to have been created, which is not always followed, but its effect is those found out for their corruption are in all likely hood assured no criminal charges will be brought and their punishment is nothing more than public ridicule with the possibility they may not be re-elected. Amazing how the scum on Capitol Hill protect their own…Republicans and Democrats.

What you don't realize is that that $1 Million that Reid made was paid not in Dollars, but in Federal Reserve Notes. Since they aren't backed by real money, they're worthless....

Liberals can't earn money honestly.
If we didn't let them steal and embezzle - then Kofi Annan, the entire Clinton administration, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durban, the Kennedy family, and Harry Reid would have died from starvation long ago.

Didn't you say in another thread you were using some type of loophole not to pay a lot of taxes?

The gig is up, I think. We'll see.
Maybe I'll get a part-time job so I'll have something to put in the "wages, tips, and other compensation" category.

But that's entirely honest and above board, because he's not a liberal. Get it?

If Senator Reid is found guilty of violating these rules then yes, he should be punished. Does anyone here think to the contrary?

Well, as it turns out I'm well within my legal rights to continue paying only capital gains taxes.
My tax advisor called it 'foolish' because my tax liability would be much lower if I could write-off expenses and depreciation on equipment - and just pay myself a salary.
What I'm doing is no different than making money from any other speculation source - like stocks or bonds.
So, the bottom line is that I'm paying more than my fair share of taxes. And being the conservative sort, I plan to put a quick end to that.

What I'm "outraged" over is unequal law being applied unequally. In addition, I am outraged to see the leadership of a political party make comments concerning the “culture of corruption.” in the other party while they themselves are actively participating in that same culture of corruption, and, the people being to stupid to see folks in government have become their most formidable domestic enemy…using their fountain pens to accomplish what terrorists are attempting to accomplish by terrorism…suspend our Constitutional guarantees and ignore the legislative intent of our written constitutions, state and federal.
This article is very revealing about Congress and the pinko media which covers up the corruption..
