SignOnSanDiego.com > News > Nation -- Suicide note by man who jumped to his death leads New Orleans police to dismembered body

Not really sure what to make of this. One thing that caught my attention though, was that he spent some time in Iraq and Afganistan. I'm not saying that him being there is the cause, though it could have something to do with it. A friend of mine that was over there for 3 years has told me of some of the horrible things he had seen. Some people don't have the capacity for war, any war.

I would argue that's exactly what you are saying.

I'm saying it's a possiblility. He could have had anger problems since he was a kid, abused, molested etc. It doesn't really give the reason why. If it's in his letter, it wasn't released.

It takes a pretty messed up person to dismember someone and put them in an oven.

Then take the cowardly way out.
All men are created equal, but what they do after that point puts them on a sliding scale.

Was in the war?

Looks more to me like some loser liberal ran out of hand out money and his girlfriend got tired of his free loading, so he kills her because his free ride for drugs is over.
Shut up and eat your paisley.

Especially without preparing side dishes.

Wonder what she did to cause the guy to kill her.

We should wait until all the facts are known before we condemn the man.

Is there ever a legitimate reason to murder and dismember a person?

The scary part is that Spliffdaddy is probably serious.

Moral relativism.

I'm suggesting that perhaps, from the man's point of view, he didn't do anything wrong.

Just because you dolts subscribe to the Judeo-Christian value system doesn't mean we all do.

The whole "throwing oneself off high balconies afterwards" bit seems to be a logical argument against this.

I know every girlfriend that I've dismembered had it coming.

I think that he probably saw Ishtar as a kid, then later was forced by the girlfriend to watch Glitter and Gigli back to back. Understandably, he snapped.

No man can handle that many crappy films in a lifetime.

In the note, Bowen wrote: "I scared myself not by the action of calmly strangling the woman I've loved for one and a half years .... but by my entire lack of remorse," according to The Times-Picayune newspaper, which said it had obtained a copy of the note.
Makes me wonder why he jumped off the bridge.

Does that make any difference in whether it actually was right or wrong, though?
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!
