Webb aide arrested for gun possession

Nothing really to argue here, I'm posting it more as an entertaining tidbit.

It would seem to indicate however, that Webb is a 2nd Amendment kind of dude.

Anyone know the kind of rigamarole Congress needs to arm themselves? D.C. is still mongo strict in the firearms department. Is there some federal provision that lets them cut through the BS?

It's my understanding that members of Congress are exempt from many DC laws because of their "special status". So, it would be acceptable for them to be armed in DC. Although, I think it is acceptable as long as the firearm registration is from the member's home state.

As for bringing weapons into the office buildings and the Capitol itself, that is a no-no. But, within this context this is a rule Congress sets for itself, not a rule set by DC government.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

I figured there was something.

The moral of the story seems pretty clear though...

Don't **** with Jim Webb.

I'm guessing he's not going to be big on the Dems' gun control position.

Another good example of how gun control applies to everyone, but some folks are special.
He can be fixed -- you can't.
