Rosie O'Donnell exits 'The View'
This kinda sucks. Didn't always (even often) agree with RO'D, but always had fun watching the repartee.
She'll land on her feet obviously, but I'll miss the crazy talk between her and Joy, and how she batted around Hasselbeck like she was a ball of yarn.
If I were a development type I would immediately start working on an O'Donnel-Behar pitch.
Even better, ditch the guests and make it a full-on McLaughlin type affair.

The only thing I've ever agreed with RO'D on, is her stance about how stupid the Imus firing was.

I certainly agree with RO'D's stance on Hasselbeck.
I'm curious, do right wing types consider her a good representative? She really comes off as the emptiest of idiots.

Representative of what? Do you mean, do most "right wing types" think she represents The Left?

Sorry. I didn't make the intended subject of that sentence particularly clear.
I was talking about Hasselbeck. Do right wing types think Hasselbeck represents them?

I don't know enough about her, really. I know she's out of her league with the expert panel of debaters, so she easily gets outtalked and/or run over with humor, etc.
So, I guess I'd have to say I don't know.

I remember she was cute on Survivor.

That probably did her in. I'll bet advertisers were making noise. It won't be long before the Fire Trucks come to burn the books.

Fair enough.
I don't often see you being out talked and/or run over with humor however, so may I venture that perhaps she is in fact, not a good representative?

This was one of the things I didn't agree with. I mean, it was stupid, but I think her argument that it's a free speech issue is a crock.
When you are on the job for Viacom, G.E. or Disney, you must make a choice as to what is more valuable: your free speech or your job.
If you decide your free speech is more valuable you very well may lose that job.
I go to the mat for actual free speech, so I find this notion of turning perfectly legitimate business decisions into free speech issues to be the height of obnoxiousness.
On this point, O'Donnell, Maher and Imus can suck-it.

ABC wanted her to stay on another 3 years for $30m.
Evidently she is much wealthier than Walters, and she also has other networks which want her for her own show. I think she'll be fine. I mean, she's a bit gross and I'd never watch her, but I don't think she's as terrible as she's been made out to be.

They can always put a black wig on a manatee and call that Rosie.
I don't think most people would notice. She's only there to make fat housewives feel better about their body image.
The occasionally controversial comments are an unintentional consequence of having a mentally retarded person on television.

Thankfully, we have you here, to show us what perfection is.
It's amazing, how someone can have such anger over someone who doesn't affect them.

Ohhh, right. I forgot someone here had a daughter who was a carpet muncher. I guess if my kid was born like that I'd have a psychological need to defend all lesbians no matter how fugly they were just in case my little girl got done by Rosie.
its amazing how utterly involved some loser is about comments that have nothing to do with them.

You're right. I should have let it go. Nobody needs me to point out the obvious; that insecure and mean people suck.

Nah, Captain Obvious already did it in his comments on Rosie.

You haven't had a case in a long time gramps.
Seriously, what was the last thread you had an actual point in?
I understand you are still embarrassed about the last time you tried to follow up my posts and I highlighted your six paragraphs of tripe, which you had to copy from someone else, was completely irrelevant to that war funding thread and that it was a laughable attempt at being intellectual but when are you going to actually add something?
I was highly amused that it shut you up and you never even tried to respond but always resorting to a tired worn out shtick about self esteem doesn't hide that fact you never say anything that has purpose or original thought. This wasn't even a hard thread to have an opinion on and you failed at making the bar for that.
How old are you anyway? My grams is over 80 and even she can assemble more intellectual prowess on the fly than you have mustered in your last 50 planned out responses. My posts tone may not appeal to your overly-sensitive-whiny nature but they always have a point. You can't even gather your thoughts together enough to do that. You just need to try harder when it comes to having points that are on topic.

So you won an argument. Good for you. That doesn't change the facts that you frequently resort to name calling and denigration when someone disagrees with you. That shows exactly how insecure you are, with your arrogance being nothing but a cover for your insecurities. If you can't convince somebody, call them a name. That'll convince them for sure. You've done that for a long time, to a number of people. Why would you even bother posting here, if you thought we were all such fools? You can sit there in your smugness, but you can't hide the truth from yourself. Have a nice life.

If we could only get rid of Trump and while we're at it knock off Dr. Phil too.
