Pelosi Holds Global Warming Talks

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is on an overseas trip to embrace an audience and a topic for which President Bush has shown scant affection: "Old Europe" and global warming.

Pelosi, D-Calif., and seven other House members left Saturday for meetings with scientists and politicians in Greenland, Germany and Belgium on ways to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.

The trip comes shortly before a climate change summit next month involving the leading industrialized nations and during a time of increased debate over what should succeed the Kyoto Protocol, a 1997 international treaty that caps the amount of carbon dioxide that can be emitted from power plants and factories in industrialized countries. It expires in 2012.

First she outright LIES and complicates the issues in the Middle East a month ago, and now this. When is this idiot going to stop?

I'm not sure I understand your complaint. What is idiotic about the Speaker of the House meeting with people from other countries about important issues?

Um, what precisely is stupid about rebuilding the relationships Bush has neglected and attending to an internationally recognized problem that he has ignored?

I think maybe someone else's "stupidity" is on display here.

I think we have to remember that liberals came up with this whole quote-unquote "science" thing, and conservatives must oppose any knowledge gained from such a questionable enterprise.

I think it's pretty obvious where her stupidity is: global warming "scientists" and "old Europe" are teh terrorists and by speaking with them she's contradicting the gospel according to George.

Way to go, Buck!

Why do you do it, I wonder? Does flaunting ignorance and idiocy impress the girls where you live - sort of your version of plumage?

Indeed.

I fail to see the problem also and I don't think that this is in anyway similar to the middle east trip.
"Altruism is killing America. We who want to save America must repudiate this killer, root and branch. We must understand and explain to others that the acceptance of altruism necessitates the violation of individual rights... and that the arguments for altruism are baseless..."

The problem is obvious: someone he doesn't agree with is (gasp) doing something!

I guess someone had to post pointless drivel in the absence of Orion and Marden.

At least Marden was humorous.
