I mean, really. What is going on here? Clearly I think the woman is a blood-spitting lunatic, but beyond that, she's offensive - it seems not only to me, but, I would have thought, to anyone with more than a reptilian hindbrain.

Because there are a lot of uneducated people who can be spoon fed simplistic solutions to what they see as an attack on their values, when in reality change is a part of life, and Coulter is excellent at being a simpleton.

There really is a quite simple explanation for lefties being ugly...

Conservatism is the process of keeping things as they are.
Leftieism is the exact opposite of this.

It stands to reason that the people who benefit the most from the current system would want to keep it in place. Vice versa, those who aren't benefiting would want to replace the system with something new.

We live in a society where looks do actually have a bearing on how successful one is. If you're better looking, you're more likely to achieve more. Since the system actually works well for good looking people, those good looking people are more likely to want to preserve the status quo - i.e. be conservative. Since the current system puts ugly people at a disadvantage, they're more likely to be the type who seeks to overthrow it.

So there ya go. Conservatives are hot. Lefties are ugly.

Is she still around even?

I haven't heard mention of her in a while so I figure her schtick got old and she disappeared from the scene like Al Franken or Randi Rhodes (or Tony Snow, poor sap shoulda stayed in TV). Those one-trick pony political gas-bags never seem to last that long any more. As soon as their star loses a little of its lustre their media bosses drop them in search for the next big thing. Except for Rush Limbaugh; He is a machine.

So, any thoughts on who will be the next Ann Coulter or Al Franken? Who have we got waiting in the wings for their 15 minutes of fame and blustering?
