You don't understand much about economics, do you?

Whatever do you mean Professor Peeb?

I mean that you are not really suggesting that the current sorry state of the US economy is entirely to do with economic cycles and nothing to do with ineptitude on an epic scale?

I didn't say that. I just get tired of certain people posing their narrow, partisan view of things like the economy. You know, when the economy slows during their party of choice's reign it's a "cycle" or their are "extenuating circumstances", but when it's the opposing party's turn it's "ineptitude".

You said in response to the comment that the "economy is tanking" that "The economy slows or recedes every 6-8 years or so regardless of which party the President belongs to." implying to me that you thought that the current sorry state of the US economy is entirely to do with economic cycles and nothing to do with ineptitude on an epic scale.

You're confusing 'slowing' with 'being driven into a tree'. The state of the economy is very much a 'partisan' thing, in that the main problems (over and above economic cycles) is ineptitude on an epic scale.

The response to your fair-minded post was more narrow, partisan views. The tanking economy is a very recent anomaly.

I'd like to see peeb explain exactly what ineptitude caused this tanking economy.
