Its no wonder Northern Ireland wants nothing to do with the republic. It's got nothing to do with me and I don't care, but what a load of horsepucky. Posted to see what the Leprechauns think.

DUBLIN -- The Irish government plans to bring into force a new law in October that critics say is a return to medieval justice.

The legislation, aimed at providing judges with clear direction on the 1937 Constitution's blasphemy prohibition, imposes a fine of up to 25,000 euros -- about $39,000 -- for anyone who "publishes or utters matter that is [intentionally meant to be] grossly abusive or insulting in relation to matters held sacred by any religion, thereby causing outrage among a substantial number of the adherents of that religion."

Police with a search warrant will be able to enter private premises and use "reasonable force" to obtain incriminating evidence.
Jesus Christ you stink! "That'll be a wee little fine there Danny boy".

One opinion I heard is that this is a way to keep people from inciting Muslim rage.

What incriminating evidence would they need to seize in order to determine whether you've said something that hurt a Muslim's feeling?

So what if I say that the Catholic Church can go f**k itself instead of the tens of thousands of children they've been raping over the past few years in Irish Catholic schools?

Sometimes blasphemy is warranted.

tens of thousands in a few years? Wow, that's a lot. Sounds like it must be part of the curriculum.

"James, want to go to the library this afternoon and work on our science project?"
"Nah, I can't. I have Buggering after Biology, and you know how much of a pain in the ass that is."

I only briefly heard about it on the Dr. Dean Edell show. No major news carrier gave it any attention. Probably got drowned out by more important issues like celebrities dying.

What I just can't stand is that not only does the Vatican protect these monsters, but in some cases, it appears they actually promote the abuse.

Hey pope! Here's an idea! Let your priests get married, then they wouldn't be dicking little kids you sick f**k.

There, more blasphemy.

That seems ok, just don't mention anything about your dog being named Mohammad.
