So…what's the point? Is there a topic? Do you have an opinion on this or what?
Man…IF ONLY they would have created posting guidelines/rules for situations like this.

My opinion is "wow", and this is entertaining, and I hope that people will enjoy this video.
Not much to be said about it really. You would agree if you have watched the video. I hope you find it as entertaining as I did.

I didn't really think an explanation was all that necessary. I have ever right to post threads that I feel will be of interest to other people providing I'm not breaking any rules and yadda yada. If you don't like my threads nobody is forcing you to read them.
Moreover, you really need to develop some good manners. I think until you do I will post this picture every time you go off:
It seems to fit well... You work in finance, you are mean to everybody, you are uptight... About the only thing wrong with this is that the book should be about turtles.

Yes, you did. Post & run is a rule, and you are increasingly violating it by just posting a link to a news story and adding a one line comment.

More of bessons lip prints on Obama's rear end type crap? Jeez. Is this an experiment on how many ways you can think of to say you worship Obama?

Unsurprising logic fail.
Now, I can't say that I'm a fan of besson3c's annoying threads - because I'm not, and I usually don't post in them - but just because he makes fun of Palin, doesn't mean that he's kissing Obama's ass. In fact, I do remember at least one thread where he expressed dissatisfaction and perhaps disillusionment with Obama.
So, yeah. You're bad at teh logic. Shocking discovery.

Besson, the PL rules do say you have to give a substantial opinion in an opening post. Direct quote:

Having seen a lot of these videos of Obama supporters giving nonsensical answers, and knowing that this was a gotcha-type production, I was impressed to hear quite a few substantive positions by many of these people.
Some people just want to meet her, others want low taxes, spending cuts, less government dependence, oil and gas exploration, limits on partial birth abortions, border security, and a leader who values American exceptionalism.
Some folks weren't sure about Palin's positions on foreign policy. Since they're in line to buy her book, maybe they'll learn more about her positions from the book. Generally, I am sure that most of these folks, if asked 'Does Sarah Palin favor a strong military or does she support cutting the military", I'd bet they'd say she supports a strong military.
All in all, not bad by the common folk. They obviously get the gist of her positions -- enough to be able to trust the woman to make decisions that they support.

I thought besson3c's "wow" was an opinion. I don't see a problem. He generally comes back to his threads to speak his mind more.
However, if it is assessed that he indeed has violated the rules, I think a permanent banning is the only fair recourse.

Well, I would argue with much of this, but after seeing that Obama video it seems rather pointless.
I'll just say that it is shocking how irrational and uninformed people can be.

Yeah, I don't see anything about this video applying especially to supporters of Sarah Palin. As sek said, most party supporters are just that, party supporters. They don't think for themselves and don't really know *why* they favor a given candidate. They just regurgitate the relevant political slogans used by their favorite party and think they are saying something meaningful. This video could have been full of Obama supporters repeating his "Change" mantra and the people would appear just as clueless and stupid.

I must admit though, I get tired of people saying that we have lost all of this freedom and liberty under this administration, as one lady said in my video. Whatever freedom/liberty has been lost, if any, does not match up to the rhetoric at all. An outsider to this country looking on would think that we no longer had our freedom of speech or right to bear arms and were living under a dictator or something!
Overblown rhetoric coming from other side just pisses me off. It obviously works in manipulating dummies, but for the rest of us it is just impossible to take these sorts of people seriously who could not give you any real specifics and concrete answers when pressed.

That's the genius of the 2-party system: very little need for thought from either the politician or the voter. All you need to know about Palin, for example, is that she's a Family Values Republican and you'll have about 80% of her positions (similarly for Obama).

Why does "freedom lost" have to live up to the rhetoric against lost freedoms? For example, there are at least 5 lost freedoms in the health care proposal right now from the freedom to chose what's in your health care plan to the freedom to keep your existing plan, shall folks opposed to it wait for the freedoms to be lost before opposing the measure?
Overblown rhetoric coming from other side just pisses me off.
Not near as much as "choosing sides" and defining the "opposition" by its lowest common denominator in order to marginalize salient arguments pisses me off.

You've got dummies on both sides lapping up and spewing BS. Why you repeatedly give "the other side" so much relevance is beyond me. Don't like Palin? Quit marketing her. Shxx man there's like 3 threads on Palin on this page alone and not one of them from her "ardent" supporters.

Like Al Gore and the rest of the Man Made Global Warming crowd that absolutely refuses to publicly debate the science?
If a person is in favor of low taxes (or border security or spending cuts), they shouldn't have to validate their opinions by reciting passages of the legislation du jour to pass yours or anyone else's standard of knowledge.
But if you insist, I''d consider backing your creation of a pre-vote exam where those without baseline knowledge are not allowed to vote.

I think Palin is just making the news now because she is making the national news with her book and the PWL seems to follow suit with the national dialog. Up between the end of the election season and now it's been pretty quiet on the Palin front.
As far as the "5 lost freedoms" with the health care bill, pulleezze... You can say that we are gaining freedoms in having opportunities to pursue our dreams with cheaper health care, that those who couldn't afford health care are being offered new freedoms and liberties, and on the flip side how this is taking away the freedoms of health insurance companies to charge what they want and operate how they want. You can argue that any policy changes affect our "freedom" and "liberty", but this is so roundabout and vague that it's nearly a pointless argument to make.
People who go on about our freedoms and liberties being taken away are saying these things because they are buzzwords that have some traction. They invoke emotions just as calling Obama a Socialist/Marxist/Communist/etc. does, but that's about it. There are far better ways to make a case about the negative aspects of health care reform without getting into this really vague and manipulative language.
The other point I would make is that this is sort of like the boy that cried wolf. It seems that everything that Obama does results in people crying that pants are on fire, perhaps justified by those wishy washy hypothetical "slippery slope" arguments. These people ought to save it for when pants are actually on fire, like perhaps thousands of lives being at stake over an actual war (it almost seems like there is more protest now than there ever was for the Iraq war?!)
I'm really at the point now where I don't know who to take seriously and to what extent. The rhetoric is just too overwhelming.
