Seriously now, sometimes we put on MSNBC for a few laughs, but is Keith Olbermann on crack or what? His worst person today was Sean Hannity because, get this, he used the term "political earthquake" three times in the immediate aftermath of the Haitian quake. Olbermann proclaims that such usage is sooo insensitive. Is Olbermann feigning offense over this, is he on crack, or is really just that dumb?
I truly don't know whose show is worse, his or his boyfriend Ronnie Maddow's.

No, he pretty much tells it like it is, not like how you'd like to pretend it is.

Well Olbermann is a douche but so is Sean Hannity so I guess it's a wash. Who really cares what one political hack says about another anyway?

Yeah, I can't really get surprised by anything Olberman or Hannity might say in their little slapfights.

I've never heard Hannity or O'Reilly mention Olbermann, but he constantly talks about them.

Because they are busy talking about Obama ?

Is Rachel Maddow a man or woman? I want to know whether to refer to Maddow as a "he" or "she".
I know that Rachel is commonly a girl's name. But so is Kelly, Courtney, Shannon, and a host of other common girl names that I've seen applied to males, so I don't want to make my call solely based on Maddow's first name.
Does Maddow have a spouse, girlfriend, or boyfriend that could give us clues. What about children? Actually, scratch that. In this day and age, those aren't the sure-fire indicators they once were.

If sites like the Huffingtonpost slobbering over Palin, Limbaugh, tea parties, etc. get you guys riled up, maybe you shouldn't attempt to rile up the very people that these sort of pieces are designed for by going on about Maddow being a man?
There is a reason why the media creates infotainment, it has an audience.

Quite right, that's why I like the game plan Fox News has.
Have blonde bimbos read the news and it'll distract your already pretty retarded fan-base from your entire lack of content.

Thanks for the confirmation. I didn't want to make assumptions.
She's more masculine than a lot of guys I've seen. Have you ever seen that informercial guy with the glasses who sells some real estate investing kit - Dean Graziosi? Maddow is more manly than him

It's usually a negative trait in women, I suppose. If they insist on Lezzing out, at least they can try to look like women while doing it.

I don't think that's the right word. I simply prefer knowing the sex of the person I am talking to or about.
On a sexual attraction level, I prefer women who are more feminine. It's not a perturbed feeling I get with masculine, manly women like Maddow. I'm just not attracted to them in any way, even after deciphering that they indeed are female.
Do you think SNL had issues with masculine females when they put on their recurring "Pat" sketch?

I don't know, whatever the universal cues are that tip people off to someone being male just don't fire at all for me with respect to Maddow, so I'm a little baffled there would be any question.

If I posted this photo of her in a grey T-shirt and said that was Michael Phelps' little brother, would you absolutely assert that his brother was a woman?

That Rachel Maddow sure is unattractive. As a highly desirable and successful man, the thought of having sex with her sure is repulsive to me. It's important that I point this out over and over again even though it has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

Thanks for the discussion. I'd have bet female from the beginning, but I just wanted to be sure. I don't watch her show, so my exposure to her is much more limited than perhaps others here.
Now, let's move on to Dean the real estate "guru". Please?
Here's a YouTube clip. I just don't get the feeling he is 100% natural-born male: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJwu0THRECE

Sort of like this thread? Is it supposed to be a surprise that Oibermann says stuff that drives conservatives crazy? If I created a rant thread about Palin, Limbaugh, Coulter, or whomever would it be a surprise that you'd be against that? It would be equally productive and equally pointless. These people count on the reactions they get, that's their schtick. The best way to make them irrelevant is to treat them as irrelevant so that their shows no longer get the ratings they need to justify their existence, ala CNN's Crossfire.

Maybe this is my political bias, but I think it's fair to say that Olberman is one of the most "out-there" liberal voices... both in his opinions, his unashamed one-sidedness and his high level of exposure and notoriety...
But still, come on... is this the best you can muster up? The "cracked-out" things he is saying seem so incredibly tame, reasoned and rational compared to your average "extreme" Beck, Rush or even Hannity soundbite.

Those who are feigning offense over Olbermann's opinion on Sean Hannity shameless use of "political earthquake" three times in the immediate aftermath of the Haitian quake as being tasteless, must be on crack or something.

So, is it ok to refer to the Massachusetts outcome as a "political earthquake" ?
Or has Haiti made that phrase P/C incorrect forever ?

I thought someone wanted to ram a curling iron up her butt (an actual quote shouted at one of Brown's campaign stops), but I didn't hear about someone threatening to kill her.
Sodomy sure, but not killing - that would be too far.

In addition to the curling iron comments, there was this, and more at ANY website that allowed comments. Reading the comments at wickedlocal.com, bostonherald.com, any news site, all were very hateful, and for what? 6 months ago no one had ever really paid any attention to either of these people, and yet Brown is the savior and Coakley should be killed. Brilliant.
Brown supporters trying to suppress vote by bullying - The Boston Globe
Messages posted on Coakley’s campaign Facebook include these vicious sentiments: “Scott Brown should rape Martha Coakley and then deny her emergency contraception’’. “Martha Coakley getting raped would complete my life.’’ “Abortion is wrong. Kill her.’’ After one message that states “Looking forward to the rally Friday, Martha,’’ a woman named Amelia Bosley writes:“Hope she gets shot.’’ Imagine putting your name to that in the name of political change.

Brown had nothing to do with any of that. It's just some screwballs. Plenty of screwballs to go around on all sides.
I hate when the actions of a few nutjobs is somehow projected onto an entire group.
