I'm not surprised. The police seem to either be focusing on killing innocent bystanders during G20 meetings, or misusing anti-terrorist laws to stop people photographing buildings.

I'm not surprised either. England has very restrictive gun laws, so criminals know they will encounter no resistance.

We've know this for years. Really, this is news to anyone?
Even Canada has a higher rate of many crimes than the US, IE Rape, Burglaries, Kidnappings, Car thefts, etc.
The truth is, first world western nations aren't particularly dangerous for most citizens who aren't themselves involved in crime of some kind, and the US is no different.
