Up on the ballot this year in California is Propositions 19. This would not only legalize marijuana in the state, but would also allow the state to regulate an tax it.
The Federal Government stated it would not change its stance on marijuana. So it got me wondering, could the Federal Government confiscate any and all taxes from marijuana as drug money?

This will be the catalyst of The Second Civil War. Again, the secessionists will lose, this time to the munchies.

When I first read this, I was wondering how can they confiscate something they already take from you?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Doritos trucks on fire off the shoulder of I-405. I watched tracers flash in the dark near the Hostess factory. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to om nom nom nom nom...

That's hilarious, but now I feel bad that yet another olePigeon thread got derailed.
On topic: If there ever was an administration that would be... shall we say lenient? towards the sticky icky, wouldn't it be this one?

They definitely won't enforce it. Well, most likely they just don't have the manpower to do so. They're just afraid of it spreading as a trend and making them look bad in their international war on drugs. Especially if California starts making some nice tax money off of it.

I think it's funny that both Democratic and Republican representatives that are against the legalization of marijuana are being bribed- I mean lobbied by the drug cartels.

Legalize it, regulate it, and tax it.
Enforcing the ban is wasteful spending and a burden on the law enforcement, the courts, and our jails.
