Who cares about Jon Stewart. Did you go to Stephen Colbert's rally?

Meh, comedians going into politics.
We have enough clowns in Washington.

There was nothing at the rally that suggested that this marked his entrance into politics. I take it you didn't watch the rally clips?

Excuse me, a rally in DC, attended mostly by Democrats, is NOT a political statement ?

The rally was about the media and media coverage perpetuating conflict and unreasonableness. There was no call-to-action against any politician or political party.

I thought everything he said was fairly poignant and not partisan in the least.
You watch the vid Turtle, or is your Conservative knee working up a few jerks?

Yup. Look at the blatant political statement that these signs convey:
And just for besson3c....
There was some political advocacy, though....

Jon Stewart is sincerely a d**che bag. A Hollywood elite, politically correct blow hard. It's good you posted this thread, besson, because the excerpt from the media that I saw (probably on Fox News) wasn't nearly as objectionable as what you posted.
Why do leftists feel it necessary to lie about the Right? As if anyone on the Right claims that all Muslims are terrorists. Can't leftists find a way to score political points without resorting to cheap tricks? Or are they as bereft as they appear?

*whoosh*
He wasn't making the claim that anybody on the right claims that Muslims are terrorists, he was making the claim that the media and the various forces on the media are making it very difficult to see the rational side in our neighbors when they play up the extreme points of view and constantly manufacturer and perpetuate money making conflict over nonsense.
Are you sure you watched the same footage, cause I have absolutely *no* idea how you got the rally as some assault on the right.

They are part of Colbert's Team Fear. Hitler mustaches on everyone.

I counted exactly 200,000 Democrats, 100,000 Independents, and 0 Republicans who attended the rally.

That's the unfortunate part. As if rhetoric like "get in back for the ride" or referring to Republicans as the "enemy" to an audience of Latinos aren't more appropriate examples of perpetuating conflict. When the leader of their Preferred Ideology™ and of the country (Republicans included) uses rhetoric this divisive, to blame the media at this point is... well, it's misdirected and falls on deaf ears for the hypocrisy that it is.

Stewart and Colbert's crowd DOES usually fall between moderate and far left, but I think it's pretty unfair to call Stewart a d-bag. He pretty much skewers both sides (though the right seems to be his favorite punching bag).
Also, he's a really soft-spoken and respectful guy away from his show.

Anyone who disagrees with you is a d______bag. Haven't you been paying attention?
People on the right who have something to say are sincere and concerned about the direction of the country... lefties who have something to say are pushing their agenda on normal folks and/or trying to deceive us.

Chalk me up as one who is concerned about the direction of the country, but I wouldn't blame it on politicians -- I'd blame it on the American people who have let their moral compass and work ethic deteriorate to the point that we let the government do our hard work for us at the expense of our future. Our current government is only in power because we put them there.

The moral compass is obviously debatable.
As far as work ethic, who works harder than us? Countries none of us would ever want to live in?
Edit: That was originally typed as oral compass, which frankly I'd very curious to see
