This really is the most dumbass rhetoric I can recall in a primary. Just candidate after candidate making outrageous claims in the hopes that the electorate will finally show them love. It's like a kid in junior high trying to impress a girl.

I was really hoping "I won't use teleprompters" was written on those teleprompters.

If Michelle wasn't paying so much attention to the teleprompter, she would have noticed the Pizza Ranch Pentagram.

When was the last time we ever went into the Iowa caucuses with such a weak playing field in either party? Gingrich, Romney, and Paul are okay, I guess, but how are Bachmann, Cain, Trump, or Palin in any universe a top tier candidate at any point during poll season? Haven't each of these candidates enjoyed temporary leads or at least top 3 finishing?

Trump and Palin aren't running. As far as Cain, Bachmann, Huntsman, etc... I don't have a problem with them trying and I don't consider the playing field all that weak. It opens the field for other prospects from similar interests in future cycles and I credit the Republicans for an edge in diversity. It's uncomfortable to be sure, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Maybe you're right...

In the last elections you had Obama, Clinton (or Clintons in a sense), and Edwards as well as McCain, Romney, and Huckabee, which I guess is not all that dissimilar from Gingrich, Romney, and Paul, I'm just thrown by all of freak sideshow candidates like the ones I listed, as well as Perry and Santorum who I forgot to add.

I realize that Trump and Palin aren't running, but for a while they were thought to be and polled quite well, and they were sort of politically active for a while, although they've both seemed to have disappeared lately save Trump wanting to host a debate. Even leaving them out, there are certainly their share of weirdo candidates... More than I remember from past elections.

What was the name of that weird old guy running as a Democrat in the last presidential race? I don't remember his name.

I like Obama as much as Bush. They are both bad for this country.

You've made your second point abundantly clear. Repetition is good at that I guess
