iPhoto 9 Album / Folder Problem
I finally upgraded to iPhoto 9 somewhat recently. I tried it when it first came out, didn't like it, reverted to 8. But recently I really needed photo stream access to I upgraded. Anyway, I have a problem already.
I have several related albums. So I made a folder. Now I'm trying to drag those albums into the folder. A very basic, straight forward kind of thing to try to do. But every time I draw an album to a folder, what happens is I get the "import" progress thing, as if I was importing photos from outside of iPhoto. Meanwhile the album doesn't move. And when it's done importing, the folder is still empty. And when I click on "Photos" to see all of my photos, there are no duplicates of the photos, at least not at the end of the photo list. So, what the hell is going on? This dumb-ass behavior is what drove me away from iPhoto 9 in the first place. What is going on, and how can i simply MOVE my albums into my FOLDERS. I already have about 10 folders, each with many albums in them. |
Anyone?

Bump
Also, I seem to have issues with photos I swear I added, now showing up. Then when I re-add them, they're in there twice. |
I'm shocked that no one has responded? Doesn't anyone use iPhoto anymore?
|
Maybe nobody is seeing these issues?
Hold down the Cmd and Option keys when starting up iPhoto. Have it repair permissions and verify the library integrity. |
So that actually worked :D
I didn't even know you could do that in iPhoto. They really should make those options a little less hidden! |
Yay!

And to return the favor, I shall alert you that the image in your signature is broken.
|
No, the link is fine.
It's just that Apple broke iDisk. My sig will look fine once the server's back up. |
Doesn't iDisk not exist anymore?
|
I won't have any of your doomsaying.

Reality's a bitch
|
Yeah but she's my bitch.
|
I'm pretty sure she's not. But I ought to replace my sig links with icon links instead, that might look cool.

<3 this thread.
I'm resisting upgrading iphoto to 9, but does that rebuild trick work in 8? |
Yep.
