How to stop iDVD from starting up?
After loading a DVD into my iMac, iDVD automatically starts up if I either cancel or quit the app the software automatically ejects the DVD. I'd like to know if there is away of preventing iDVD from automatically starting up ?
|
Do you mean DVD Player perhaps? Have you checked the app's preferences?
|
Unless things have changed dramatically (I am on an old version of OSX) you should be able to go into system prefs an under hardware should be a CD and DVD pane. In here you should be able to change how the system deals with DVDs.
As I said earlier, on an old version of OSX so YMMV. |
Aye, yes your right DVD, but it was the DVD player preferences I neglected to alter that has done the trick thanks, Spheric Harlot.
And yes I run the old Snow Leopard, call me old fashioned if you like, but if I bought a new mac again I would insist on nothing less than it. |
So you're never buying another Mac, ever again? |
Snow Leopard indeed does not run on any current or future Macs, but Mountain Lion is pretty nice and his fixed most of the Lion silliness.
|
Indeed. Mountain Lion is actually quite a bit awesomer than Snow Leopard was.
The only potential annoyance here being the death of Rosetta. But that hasn't really bitten me yet. |
