Firefox 18 and OS X 10.6.8 - stopped asking to close tabs
Something fishy is going on with Firefox on my MacBook. It no longer confirms that I want to quit when multiple tabs are open. I occasionally hit cmd+Q instead of cmd+W when using the app, and it just quits on me even if I have fifty tabs open (I use tabs a lot).
I've triple-checked the application's settings. It's definitely set to confirm on close when multiple tabs are open. Anyone else seen this? |
What does about:config say for browser.tabs.warnOnClose and browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs?
|
Both are set to true.
I did some Googling and it seems like this may be a very very old bug, although it's odd that it still isn't fixed. In the meantime I installed TabMix Plus, which forces a confirmation on quit. |
What about browser.showQuitWarning? Does that have any effect on the warnings about closing tabs?
