alertsounds
I need

simplebeep
eep
startupchime

for a project. How do I retrieve these from my mac? sherlock can't find them

eep should be in your System Suitcase (the file in your System Folder that is named "System".) It's not in mine - did eep go away with OS 9? (it's not listed in the Sound Control Panel as an option under Alerts, so I'm not concerned about it not being in where I expected it)

I don't know where simplebeep is, because it's listed as an option in my Sound/Alerts Control Panel, but it's not in my System Suitcase... Maybe it's in ROM, like (see below...)

I'm 99 44/100 percent positive that the startupchime is burned into ROM on your motherboard.
