How increase IntExplorer Memory?
I keep getting a notice that I can't load Shockwave and that I need to increase the memory allocated to Internet Explorer when trying to open some web pages. Running OS9.2 on a 400mhz iMac w/ 128mg ram. I've tried increasing virtual memory and even creating a big ram disk. What am I missing?:confused:

Ah-ha! You sound like you've got exactly the same problem that I've got - pain in the neck isn't it!!!!:mad:

Have a look at "losing my memory" message a few down the list from this one. I've had some good advice on that and I'm about to try downloading mozilla (as suggested) and seeing if that helps.

Good luck!! Lets hope something works soon or my computer may be ending up in a crumpled heap outside my window! ;)

To increase the memory available to an individual application, do the following:

- Close the app.
- Click once on the application's icon, and from the file menu, select get info (apple + i will also work)
- in the get info window, select memory from the drop tab;
- increase both the minimum and preferred memory allocations. I'd advise to double both as a minimum.
