How to Rename HD Partition?
My 2 y/o daughter has somehow renamed all three of my hard disk partitions.

I have no idea how to change the names of the HD partitions. The usual 'click-wiggle' doesn't allow the name to be changed. I've searched the (useless) help utility, to no avail.

Anyone know how to rename a hard disk?

Is posting in this forum and expecting someone to read, let alone respond, an exercise in abject futility? I kinda fear so :( If someone does, my thanks.

Odd that you can't click select and then rename in the Finder.

Do it in Disk First Aid.

The only thing that would stop you from being able to rename a partition/disk in the Finder is if File Sharing was active.

Disable it, then rename :)

Bingo!! Thanks a lot Ciph. I'd forgotten that little tidbit. I'd left the file sharing on.
