Uninstalling OS9 - Once and For All
Is there a safe, simple, efficient way to uninstall OS 9 & Classic?

Thanks!

Yeah, drag the System Folder to the trash.

However - if you're trying to make a statement, to yourself or others, it's a stupid one.

There are some things you can't do in OSX.

If you have a disk problem... do you expect fsck to fix everything? Yeah right. You may well need to boot the (far less picky) classic system and run DW or something.

Deleting OS9 is dumb. Whatever.

All IYO of course :)

I've not had OS 9 installed on my TiBook since June (did a reinstall without it)and use it everyday. No problems here.

Then again I don't go around deleting bits of OS X because I think I don't need them ;)

If the only reason to have a copy of OS 9 around is to be able to fix disk problems it seems a little excessive. A bootable CD with the tools installed would probably do the job.
