How to connect to Internet in Mac OS 8.5
I got a Power Mac 5500 with an ethernet port. OS is Mac OS 8.5 and BeOS 4.5.
The apartment where I am living has ethernet port. But once you get a new computer, first time you want to connect Internet, you have to visit the university's homepage. It's called Networking Registration. My problem is: on BeOS 4.5, NetPositive does not support JavaScript. So I cannot finish the registration. On Mac OS 8.5, I don't know how to do? It should be ethernet and DHCP but always fails. any idea? thanks |
The configuration is correct. The problem is IE 4.0. It sucks.
try netscape 4.8 and everything is OK. |
Okay. And tip.
Try to get Mozilla 1.0 for BeOS somehow. It's a fully capable browser (including JavaScript of course.)
