Classic Mac Scriptiing GUI Around 1995 or so...
I am trying to remember the name of a GUI that was based on applescript or hypercard. You could create full toolbars and buttons that would run scripts. It also had a record function built-in.

The only thing that sounds similar to what you're describing is UserLand Frontier, but I may be wrong.

It was called oneclick
