IE not auto-launched
IE 5 is not automatically launched when clicking on a link inside Sherlock or when clicking on a URL link on the desktop. IE does 'partially' launch, but seems to quit with no IE splash screen or Apple error dialog box. IE is set as default browser in the Internet control panel. Have reinstalled IE, Sherlock and the Internet control panel with no resolution. Running 9.0.4.

It might also help to bump up your memory allocation.

I had this problem as well. Along with the above suggestions, try rebuilding the desktop. I think this worked for me.

Good luck.

Does it crash when you open it manually? If it does trash all the items in the extensions folder that starts with Microsoft. Restart the machine and manually launch IE. The extensions should reinstall themselves. Then try the URL on the desktop.
