Help - Transfer files to new Powerbook?
I currently have a iBook (firewire). I am selling it & getting a Pismo. Question: Whats the best way to transfer my personal files documents, etc? I dont have a floppy or burner drive. Also, what are the files that I don't want to forget? example: How do I get all my addresses from Outlook, is there one file? and what about erasing all personal info?

I am a recent convert to Mac platform (love it & wish I did it sooner) but I am lost on these issues? I know many of you have been through this before, thanks.

Turn off your iBook and connect it to the Pismo with a 6-pin to 6-pin firewire cable. Now boot your iBook while holdong down the "T" key. A firewire logo will appear on the screen, together with a battery meter, and the iBook's drive will appear on the Pismo's desktop. Now just copy your files over and be amazed by the speed. When you're done, turn off the iBook and disconnect.

Which files should you copy? I suggest you copy only document files and reinstall all of your applications.
